3-year-old Leukemia patient inspired by Jim Kelly's battle with cancer
AUBURN, N.Y. – Former Buffalo Bills quarterback Jim Kelly was the keynote speaker at an event hosted by the Gavras Center on Wednesday at the Auburn Holiday Inn, inspiring others who are experiencing struggles like his own.
He may be a Hall of Famer, but it was another special guest who stole the show.
"It’s good to be able to come here and make a difference. My motto is 'making a difference today for someone who’s fighting for their tomorrow,'" said Kelly.
It's a motto Alayah Green lives by. At just the age of 2, she was diagnosed with Leukemia, but her mom describes her as a fighter.
“Thankfully, she was diagnosed with most treatable kind, which gives her 90% survival rate,” said Green.
