Get Smart Power, Build early literacy skills.
Smart Power is the Dolly Parton Imagination Library books and adults in our community
reading to children. With smart power our children's literacy skills will be the vanguard of
students' success! Encouraging children to love books at an early age is a powerful tool. That
mixed with time spent with a nurturing caregiver is a quality learning experience.
CHALLENGE: Use "Smart Power" by encouraging adults to read 100 books to young children
over a three month period in the Early Reading Challenge. Each time a book is read; record it
by coloring in one heart.
